Unfortunately I don't have the time to work on/with Horde3D. So from my side, I try to support it by answering questions in the forum and take care of forum and wiki software updates. Regarding marciano, I'm not sure what his intentions are. I don't think he will have time for doing any further development for the next few month/years.
There is a git repository that is supported by Emanuele Bertoldi, but I guess, he also has limited time to work on it. There has to be ES2 support somewhere out there, as there are several games published on Android using horde3d (e.g. red line rush). But there is still no official support for it.
