I know absolutely nothing about web design/web programming but I have been using Horde & these forums for a while now and the search function is really getting on my neves.... It doesent actually let you search for most things and when it does many of the results have little to do with the search terms. In fact I often have to use google to search the forums rather than the inbuilt search which gets quite annoying. Anyway, back to the point, i was just wondering if there was any way of improving the search so that it... well... actually works? Thanks in advance Saypen P.S I like the whole website design, the orange and the white work well, its just the search function that gets me |

100% agree! Does anyone know if there is a mod for phpbb3 to improve the search function? |

I did a google search... apparently not many people are happy with phbb3 search functionality. I know it would be alot of work.... but something like Drupal would work better for the site.... since it has its own built in forum and a good seach engine. |

I have increased the common word ratio from 5% to 25%. A few quick tests showed that the search function is clearly more useful now. |

I did a quick search then and it seems to be much better now. Thanks marciano |
