Post subject:  Homan Models

Hi

I have to create a crowd simulation and I would like to introduce various human models in the Chicago example . Where can I find alternative 3d human animated models for 3ds max (in order to later export them with ColladaMax plugin) for free? I only found static models and I tried to animate them on my own, but I wasn't able to do so because they didn't have an internal skeleton. Unfortunately I have to complete my project in a few time, so I can't create an entire model on my own starting from zero... I'd like to find ad least one model and then starting modifying it to create other different humans.

Perhaps you could create models using MakeHuman ?
I don't know if it creates skeletons or not...

Thanks you!

I managed to import a human mesh into 3ds Max, to add a skeleton to it and to animate it. The problem is that I tried to import my model into Horde3D using Collada converter... but when I run my project the models remain static. I suppose ColladaMax has some problem exporting animation. Any suggestion to solve this?

Thank you in advance

Just to make sure,... you have loaded an animation on your model within your source code, haven't you?

Can you provide the collada file?

Of course I did so. But I've found the problem! I was using 3ds Max 10 because 3ds Max 9 gives problems on Windows Vista. Unfortunately I didn't notice that ColladaMax doesn't work on this version of the program. I didn't notice so because I anyway obteined a .DAE file. I animated my model again using 3ds Max 9 and everything worked.
