Post subject:  Horde3D Python bindings on OSX

Hi,

i'm currently trying to get Horde3D working on OSX 10.6 with the python bindings. However, it seems I'm either doing something wrong or the bindings are not working anymore. I compiled from source via "cmake ." and "make" . However, "make install" fails and so i get no library in my /usr/lib/ which ctypes could use. Same for compiling with Xcode. Is there any way to get this working on Mac OSX 10.6? The Wiki is not of much help.

Or are the python bindings abandoned and I should better look for another 3d engine with at least partial python support? I absolutely need to use python and the usual frameworks like pyglet are too low level for me. I could not manage to install OGRE (python bindings are undocumented and OGRE itself does not even compile on Snow Leopard), or irrlicht (python bindings seem to be outdated and don't work with OSX > 10.5) either.

Thanks,
Chris

Not sure about the Python bindings as I've never used them myself, but regarding the make install issue I think we haven't added install configurations to the cmake files. Something I will try to add in the next days, because AFAIK this has been requested several times now.
