Afternoon, currently viewing/testing some content in HordeEditor, and run into a small lighting setup issue. It appears even if the scene lights are disabled their a constant yellowish ambient intensity?

Looked through all of the tabs and can't seem anything directly related - though when viewing some of the sample scenes they appear fine.

Anyideas?

I'm looking for other types of light implementation, those are Point light and Directional light, ambient light.
I could not perform the search 'cause these words are so common.

Could anyone give me some threads?

thanks

If I remember correctly, point lights are already implemented. Just set the FOV to 360°. Regarding directional light, you may check

And in regards to Ambient Intensity, all it does does is set a global light value of the scene to effect the diffuse surfaces - so if you like a constant background light.

The Ambient Intensity for Horde appears to control the intensity, colour and perhaps diffuse gradient on how its applied? To adjust yourself just experiment with the ambientMap.png file located in textures.

Hi

Is anyone able to prepare a color neutral ambientMap.dds (gray)? I have tried to edit it with gimp and tried with dds converter 2 as well but with both I just get ambient light to disappear entirely.

Regards,
Tommi

It is easy to do with ATI CubeMapGen. See also (and be welcome to extend) http://horde3d.org/wiki/index.php5?title=DCC_Tool_Support.
