Post subject:  A question about transparency/bump mapping and shaders

Hi!
I have a model with textures in .tga format with transparency in alpha channel. I've tried all shaders that come with Horde3D and there is no transparency when i import the model. I don't have any experience with GLSL, so i do not know if I'm doing something wrong or the shaders i tried don't support transparency. The same thing happens with bump mapping.

If the standard Horde3D shaders don't support these features, i guess i'll have to start learning GLSL and develop my own shaders. :o

They work fine, aslong as you have an alpha channel in your diffuce texture. Alphas on normal maps are normally reserved (in Hordes case) for heightmaps to be used with parallax. Try using the standard surface shader.

Normal and parallax mapping are supported. You need to enable the flags _F02_NormalMapping or _F03_ParallaxMapping in the material (see for example models/sphere/stones.material.xml). Transparency is currently not directly implemented for models but not difficult to do. Look at the particles for an example.

I wasn't sure if i was doing something wrong. I'm still rather new with 3D graphic and it has sooo many things to learn, so, thanx for the tips :)
