Hey all,

I tried to compile horde on my system. So I checked out the curent version from the svn and compiled it. The compilation stopped at this point:

Quote:
Building CXX object Horde3D/Source/Horde3DEngine/CMakeFiles/Horde3D.dir/egRendererBase.o
/home/moe/src/Horde3D/Horde3D/Source/Horde3DEngine/egRendererBase.cpp: In member function ‘uint32 RendererBase::createVertexLayout(uint32)’:
/home/moe/src/Horde3D/Horde3D/Source/Horde3DEngine/egRendererBase.cpp:934: error: no matching function for call to ‘RBObjects<RBVertexLayout>::add(RBVertexLayout)’
/home/moe/src/Horde3D/Horde3D/Source/Horde3DEngine/egRendererBase.h:53: note: candidates are: uint32 RBObjects<T>::add(T&) [with T = RBVertexLayout]
make[2]: *** [Horde3D/Source/Horde3DEngine/CMakeFiles/Horde3D.dir/egRendererBase.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [Horde3D/Source/Horde3DEngine/CMakeFiles/Horde3D.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2

Ha I fixed it,

I updated to version 1.0.0 Beta 3 aka revision 129. Someone should mention this in the wiki or the svn should always have a compile ready version.

greetings mosta

SVN head is assumed to be under heavy development - if you don't want to deal with the resulting bugs, I would advise sticking to point releases.

Out of curiosity - as I usually do use these releases - does the SVN contain stable branches corresponding to these releases as well as the unstable trunk?

We create a tag for every stable release, but unfortunately we haven't patched those tags/branches with bug fixes from the trunk. So normally you have to check the log messages of the trunk yourself and apply patches to the stable releases yourself.

If someone would be able to manage the patch work for the branches it would be nice, but marciano and I both don't have much time, so we stick to working only on the trunk.
