Can't say ive had any experience with a powerpc as per-say, but im surprised theirs no other distro's to support it?
Many distros have enough support to install on PowerPC, but debian is the only one I have found with a decent repository of powerpc software.

Yes, the headless install of Debian seems pretty rubbish, doesn't help that Ubuntu Server falvour doesn't support kickstart fully, or prescript (which others do).
Mostly, the documentation sucks. I spent weeks mucking around trying to create an ISO that would auto install, but I was never able to remove user interaction completely.

Hey Swiftcoder, I wonder if the video you presented here is still done with Horde3D? It looks really promissing!

That video is implemented 100% in Python (using pyglet). I am currently in the process of back-porting to C++ and Horde, but don't have visible results of that effort yet ;)
