Hi I'm new here. I was just wondering what other people where using horde3d for.
I am thinking of using it for a game engine. I imagine a lot of other people are too.

There is a game engine available with Horde3D as the renderer and many pluggable components.
Go to the Horde3D wiki and look at the community branch.

I've been using it to prototype game engine ideas at home (along with other libraries like Bullet) for about 4 years

I haven't finished much with it except a few tech demos though (1, 2, 3), because unfortunately I do most of my programming while at my job, working on other game engines :/

I'm using it to prototype a "game" engine for smart phones and tablets cross-platform, to eventually start making simple but very nicely rendered apps and just to have some fun learning different shader techniques and see what these hand-held devices are capable of. Hopefully I can share some more stuff soon and the cross-platform support for these devices. :)

I use Horde3D as a 3D extension for my 2D game engine. It works quite well, most of the time and I'm really satisfied with it, but there are a few hiccups from time to time.

@Matthew: I don't mind you reposting what I wrote from here or here, but please use quotes! Your signature kinda feels like spam, but I may be wrong.
