One thing I noticed yesterday is that GLFW-lite doesn't support GLX <1.4 which means it won't work under virtualbox and probably on older linux systems. I haven't tested with regular GLFW yet though to see if an old GLX was supported or not, beta4 uses regular GLFW right?

For reference I was testing an ubuntu 9.10 64-bit guest under a windows 7 64-bit host with the guest additions installed to enable opengl 2.0

Actually disregard that, the old GLFW didn't work either and didn't have anything to report that it did work or didn't, it just doesn't do anything from virtualbox! :)
