HI! im brand new to horde3d, and i have a problem now im using vc 9, and i linked all the necessary includes and libs into the ide. the problem is that the code was bulded fine but when i run the exe it says that is unable to initialize engine cause i dont have a compatible card with opengl2. i use the geforce 7600 gs and i think that supports opengl 2, so whats the problem? Anyway when i run the ready samples from the folder all was fine! but when i compliled them they refuse to start!

Try downloading the latest drivers for your 7600

Hi! If I remeber correctly I tried compiling and running the GLFW samples on VC9 Express some time ago and had no problems. At the moment I can't tell you what is going wrong without having further information.

Hi Marciano, look i use the 0.14 version of horde and i opened the project file of SampleChicago using VC 9 express and it converted it to VC9 project,by the way it gives me some linking warnings like C:\Horde3D SDK [0.14.0]\Samples\Knight\Binaries/Win32 declares a file name or directory..
Anyway i wasnt able ever to run my own project using Horde im receiving about 40 linker error, maybe i have not included the right things in my compiler(Tools ->options->projects->VC++ directories->include files->C:\Horde3D SDK [0.14.0]\Bindings\C++ and C:\Horde3D SDK [0.14.0]\Dependencies\Include ON library files->C:\Horde3D SDK [0.14.0]\Bindings\C++ and C:\Horde3D SDK [0.14.0]\Dependencies\Libs_VC8)
so did i install the engine as it should be?

Did you open the project file or the solution? The project file is only working in combination with the solution and you shouldn't have to change any paths, everything is actually preconfigured.

YES, i double clicked the Sample knight project in the "\Horde3D SDK [0.14.0]\Samples\Knight" folder and then the vc9 converted to vc9 solution. what so do you mean preconfigured? it was wrong that i included thes libs and headers to my compiler?

You need to open the Horde3D.sln in the Horde3D root folder. Usually you don't have to include any libs yourself for the samples since the necessary information is already stored in the project files.

No, it is also possible to just use the precompiled dlls. But you need to set the paths correctly. You can look at the solution and sample project how it is done (actually quite simple).
