Horde3D

Hi everyone,

at the moment 3 people, including myself, are currently working with the Horde3D engine at the university.

We created an own scene in the editor but are unable to run it. We took the "knight" scene to get an idea how to run it but unfortunately we don't know why its not working.

We have commented everything we thought is a part of the knight scene but still our scene wont run. When we run the scene the knight appear without the planet instead of our own created scene.

Does anyone have an idea what we made wrong?

Always take a look at th EngineLog.html file to see if there are any errors or warnings (e.g. a file could not be found or has the wrong format).

The editor will create a .scene file. You can load this file as scene graph resource. The knight model in the Knight sample is also a scene file. Make sure that the scaling of your scene is right, i.e. it is not too big or too small. In the samples you can go to debug view (press F7) to see if the geometry is rendered correctly.

As marciano already implied, the description of your problem is not very detailed, so we can not give a specific answer to your problem. What exactly is not working? Do you have nothing rendered? Is it crashing? What version of the editor and Horde are you using? Do both fit to each other (note that there have been changes in the shader code between Beta 2,3 and 4), etc. etc.
