Is this extension direly necessary? If this is needed, then I can't use Horde3D as I won't be able to do development on my laptop, and it's back to trying to write Irrlicht bindings for Haskell.
Turns out this extension is not included in the open source intel drivers because it's patent encumbered. It'd be really nice if you didn't require this. I'm going to try turning off the requirement and hoping it still works.
Edit: Nope, segfault
Edit: I was able to get it working by installing the libtxc_dxtn library - but only the Chicago demo. The others now show a blank screen. Any ideas?
