As already pointed out in another thread I have made a plenty of optimizations. I have done some quick benchmarks on a 8600 GTS and must say that I am very happy with the results. The new version of the Chicago sample runs between 30 and 50 percent faster than the old one in the 0.11.0 release. Furthermore the deferred shading path shows its advantages now and brings another 20 percent over the forward path :)

The new optimized version with some other bugfixes is available from the downloads site.

Impressive :D

That's all the motivation I needed to upgrade my project's version of Horde to the latest version

After updating to 0.11.1 (from 0.9) the FPS in one of my demos (basically Chicago with more light sources) jumped from 8fps to 22fps on a 7900GT

You weren't kidding about those optimizations :D

Fantastic! I'm glad to see that those new framerates weren't just a dream ;)

You can already prepare for the next upgrade, or would you want to miss the new parallel split shadow maps? :D
