I just tried Beta 4 on Mac OS X 10.5.8.

After disabling the terrain extension I used
Code:
cmake -G Xcode .
to successfully produce Horde3D.xcodeproj. Which in turn nicely builds the entire library and the samples.

However, running Horde3D/Binaries/Darwin/Knight.app produces a somehow damaged knight:

Horde3D/Binaries/Darwin/Chicago.app gives even less recognizable results:

Although the picture is almost black, there are some random triangles visible. Does this happen on other platforms too (right now I cannot test that)?

On windows this does not happen at least with NVidia graphics cards. I neither tested it under Linux nor with an ATI card and can't test it on a Mac since I don't have one.

Does the EngineLog file contain any interesting warnings or errors?

The Mac is a MacBook Pro and has a GeForce 8600M GT.

There does not seem to be an EngineLog file anywhere. At least
Code:
find . -name "EngineLog*"
comes up emtpy.

A funky GLFW bug seems to be creating the log file in the root of the hard drive, depending on how you launch the application.

That all looks clean - those warnings seem normal on OS X with NVidia.

The bug is obviously a skinning bug, so the problem should be restricted to the skinning vertex shader.

Unfortunately, I don't have any Mac/NVidia hardware available to debug on - if Vurlix is around he may be able to help.

Later revisions of 10.5 seem to have very flaky drivers. My MacBook (intel graphics) worked far better once I installed 10.6 - might be worth a try for you.

If the bug is in the hardware skinning shader, then why does it affect the e.g. the platform as well? There you really only have a trivial vertex shader, imho that doesn't look like the bug would probably be there.

Please try the latest svn trunk. We have solved an OSX problem there (http://www.horde3d.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=837).
