This article lists known issues with Horde3D on different platforms and hardware.

Windows

ATI

  • Skinned geometry is not rendered properly before Catalyst driver 8.8 (which finally fixes that issue)

NVIDIA

  • Multi-View acceleration might cause a dramatic frame rate decrease. Use single view acceleration to avoid this.
  • For some versions of the NVidia drivers, setting the Threaded-Optimization to Auto or On might cause jumping frame rates (going up and down by 50-80%).

OS X

ATI

  • Inadvertently using NPOT textures with a sampler2D on a Radeon X1600 Mobility (under OS X 10.5.2), causes single digit frame rates on even simple scenes.
